Burntwood Town Council offers a range of services within the town. Other councils provide services in Burntwood. These are Lichfield District Council and Staffordshire County Council.

Response & Repair Team
The Burntwood Response & Repair Team – BuRRT for short – is a service set up by Burntwood Town Council to address some of the smaller repair problems across the town which annoy residents and need fixing sooner rather than later.
Although your Town Council isn’t responsible for these repairs, we know they mean a lot to you. They mean a lot to us too as the Council closest to our community. We know, though, that both Lichfield District and Staffordshire County Councils simply can’t meet the level of demand on their services due to the pressures on their budgets.
We will always do what we can to fix the problem where we can, but this may mean referring on to the larger Councils through our local contacts.

Bus Shelters
Burntwood Town Council provides bus shelters at the following locations:
- Ironstone Road (near School Lane)
- High Street, Chase Terrace (outside St John’s Community Church)
- Rugeley Road, Sankey’s Corner (backs onto Sankey’s Fish and Chip Shop)
- High Street, Chasetown (outside Chasetown Memorial Park)
- A5190 (between Morrison’s Island and Bridge Cross Road Island)
- Chase Road (layby close to 194 Chase Road)
- Lichfield Road (near junction with Farewell Lane)
- Cannock Road, Burntwood (outside Burntwood Park, near junction with Elder Lane)
- Rugeley Road, Chase Terrace (between Park Road and Spinney Lane)
- Chase Road (outside No. 99)
Street Lighting

Problems with any other street lights should be reported to Staffordshire Highways on 0300 111 8000.
The Town Council maintains the following street light
columns:
- Summerfield Road Estate Car Park – rear of 9, 15 and 31 (three street light columns)
- Leafenden Avenue – outside 32 (one street light column)
- Chase Road – side of 136 (by flats- (one street light column)
- Henley Close – side of 8, right of 2 (two street light columns)
- Thistledown Avenue – outside 20 (one street light column)
- Highfields (two street light columns)
- Travellers Close (one street lamp column)
- Union Street/New Street – (footpath running from New Street through the rear of properties in Union Street)
- Thornfield Crescent – side of 16 (one street light column)
Grit Bins
Burntwood Town Council provides grit bins:

Coulter Lane Garden of Remembrance
The Coulter Lane Burial Ground (located at the junction of Coulter Lane/St Matthew’s Road, Burntwood) transferred to the Town Council from Lichfield District Council in October 2008. The Town Council’s long term aim is to create a sympathetic Garden of Remembrance which will be open to the public for quiet reflection.
The site will be flail mown in June, July, August, September and October and the brambles will be sprayed several times during the year.
The entrance gates were refurbished during 2010.
