The founder of a charity supporting victims of domestic abuse has been appointed as the new chair of Burntwood Town Council. Councillor Kathy Coe MBE was confirmed in the role at a recent meeting of the authority held on 23 May 2024. Councillor Laura Ennis was appointed as Vice-Chair of the council.  Councillor Coe’s chosen charity for the year will be Pathway Project.

Councillor Coe said “for those of you who don’t know me I am the new Chair of Burntwood Town Council and am very honoured to have been selected for this role.  I have spent the last year as Vice-Chair so hopefully I am prepared for the role, although I am sure that I still have a lot to learn and it will be an adventure going forward.  If you want to speak to your local Councillor, ask questions, or find out any information then you are very welcome to come to the Library on the first Saturday of the month, between 10am – 11am.
