Burntwood Town Council is the community council for Burntwood. We are looking for an Administration Officer to join our small and friendly team in an essential, part-time role.

Burntwood Town Council is committed to making a Better Burntwood. We are based at the historic Old Mining College in Chasetown, sharing the space with local businesses and voluntary organisations, and run a number of services and activities including the annual Burntwood Wakes Festival, the Producers’ Markets at Sankey’s Corner, our summer scheme for families with young children, Play in the Parks, and our Christmas events.

Burntwood Town Council are the custodians of two cemeteries, a closed historic one, and an active one. We have just purchased a former church that could have been lost for community use and have been successful in getting funding to refurbish the building.

We are at the heart of community engagement with our local vibrant community and voluntary sector, offering grants and support, we work with young people, sports clubs, and churches to make Burntwood a great place to live and work.

Salary: £28,770 – £32,076 pro rata

Hours per week: 22 hours

Contract: Permanent
