This summer, our new refurbished Community Centre on Princess Street, Chase Terrace will be open for hire. Burntwood Town Council purchased the former church building and obtained a grant from the Government’s Community Opportunities Fund to modernise and refurbish it, so local community groups and other users will have a high-quality venue for their meetings and events.
The Council will need to ensure that the new facility covers its costs while still being accessible, and we are proposing the following charges for 2025/2026, and would like to know your views.
The Town Clerk would be grateful if local groups and possible hirers could let him know their thoughts so Councillors can make a decision about the scale of charges.

Support from Burntwood Town Council may be available to enable small local organisations to access CTCC. A discount of up to 100% may be offered at our discretion if the following criteria are met.
- Is the group local to the parish of Burntwood, with most members being from and residing in Burntwood?
- Does the organisation face barriers to funding from other sources?
- Does the group lack capacity- eg, are members of the group mainly elderly?
- Is the group a new group, starting up and forming?
If at least two of these criteria are met, the Town Clerk (in consultation with the Chair of Policy and Resources), may waive the room hire fee, or offer a discount, for up to 6 months, when the offer can be reviewed and if necessary extended.
