Councillor Coe said “Remembrance Sunday is such a special time and I felt really honoured to be asked if I would lay the Burntwood Town Council’s wreath at St John’s Community Church, for the Chase Terrace service.   It was so good that the weather was dry and not too cold.  The uniformed organisations were out in force and the parade went really well. It is always good to see how interested the children are and how well behaved, which is a testament to the parents and families.

My thoughts were with those who lost loved ones in the first and second world wars, and other conflicts.   Hearing the names read out is really very moving and is a good reminder, if one is needed, of the sacrifices that were made for us to have the freedom we have today.
