Councillor Kathy Coe MBE, Chair of Burntwood Town Council was delighted to welcome local carers to a celebration event and afternoon tea held at Burntwood Library last week.

Cllr Coe MBE hosted this free event to highlight the unwavering support and compassion carers provide to others, often with little recognition, and to thank them for providing not only essential care but also love, patience, and a sense of security to those who need it most.

Cllr Coe said:

“It was a real pleasure to be able to host a celebration for the people in our community who are committed to caring for a loved one. Meeting and sharing an afternoon tea with them was brilliant. They are inspirational and it was good to thank them for what they do”.

The event was delivered in partnership with Friends of Burntwood Library, Burntwood Library, MHA Communities South Staffordshire, Burntwood Lions Club, Tesco Lichfield and D&P Rogers Catering, Burntwood. Thank you to them for supporting Burntwood Town Council with this event.
