Burntwood Town Council held an event for local businesses and organisations in partnership with Pathway Project to recognise White Ribbon Day, and inspire action to end violence against women and girls.
Cllr Kathy Coe MBE spoke about her experiences that led her to found Pathway Project, alongside Cllr Darren Ennis who spoke about the importance of men using their voices to speak up against sexism, stereotypes and harmful behaviours that perpetuate violence against women and girls.
It was also fantastic to hear from Sam Booth, CEO of Pathway Project about the crucial role they play in our local community supporting survivors, and working with businesses and organisations to raise awareness.
Cllr Sue Woodward, Vice Chair of Burntwood Town Council said:
“It was really good to see so many people at the event, representing numerous local organisations and supporting Pathway. The Town Council is proud to be a White Ribbon Supporter Organisation, and to support the local and national campaigns tackling Violence Against Women and Girls”.
