Event: Burntwood Monthly Market
Frequency: Second Sunday of each month, April–October (7 markets per year)
Operating Times: 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM
Location: Sankey’s Corner Bridge Cross Road, Burntwood

Vision & Objectives:
• To provide a vibrant, accessible community market that attracts residents and visitors.
• To support local businesses, producers, and community groups.
• To enhance the town centre economy and sense of place.
• To operate sustainably and safely.

Scope of Service:
• Recruit and manage traders (balance of food, crafts, local produce).
• Provide insurance, risk assessments, H&S compliance.
• Deliver marketing and promotion (social media, local press).
• Coordinate event set-up, stall allocation, waste management, and take-down.
• Provide contingency plans for adverse weather.

Council Role (optional hybrid):
• May organise road closures
• Local promotion and advertising
• Performance Indicators:
• Minimum number of traders per market (e.g. 12).
• Evidence of promotional activities.
• Quarterly reporting of footfall estimates, trader feedback, issues, and revenue.

Budget:
• Provider to propose fee structure.
• Council may offer support in-kind.

Contract Term:
• 1 year, with option to extend by 1 year, subject to performance.
