WHICH COUNCIL DOES WHAT?

Burntwood Town Council offers a range of services within the town. Other councils provide services in Burntwood. These are Lichfield District Council and Staffordshire County Council. Each council works independently providing separate services but we work together to ensure that all the services provide for the needs of the town.

The Town Council is the closest to the people as it is the first tier of local government. It provides a voice for Burntwood and looks to provide its services economically and efficiently. Although it only has limited powers, the Town Council works in partnership with other authorities and agencies to address problems and provide services.
