Working together for a better community

Burntwood is a lovely, friendly town with an amazing community spirit. It is a great place for all ages to live and enjoy. The town is made up of the 4 former mining villages of Boney Hay, Burntwood, Chase Terrace and Chasetown.

It is situated on the edge of Cannock Chase with the wonderful amenities of Chasewater Country Park and Gentleshaw Common close-by. Both areas offer great leisure opportunities and numerous clubs and societies are available to meet all interests.

There are also easily accessible commuter links across the Midlands and beyond, whilst locally there is a wide range of housing available. Burntwood Town Council continues to work on behalf of the community to secure improvements in the town’s infrastructure to help create a Better Burntwood.

The Council is one of the largest parish councils in England with 22 Councillors, who are elected every 4 years. It is a very active council with regular Council Meetings supported by a range of committees. All meetings are open to the public and provide an opportunity for Burntwood residents to raise questions. The Council is very keen to be inclusive for the benefit of the community.
